Dr. Alina Ishtiaq is a board-certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist known for her compassionate and patient-centered approach to care. Inspired by her father’s work as an ER doctor, she developed a passion for medicine and a commitment to building meaningful connections with patients. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Houston, she gained early experience at Kingwood Medical Center, where she explored various medical fields and discovered her calling in optometry—a profession that combined science, patient care, and her desire to make a lasting difference.

Dr. Ishtiaq completed her clinical training with honors at Woolfson Eye Institute, The Illinois Eye Institute, and the Tallahassee VA, gaining extensive expertise in glaucoma management, retinal disease, and refractive surgery care. She further specialized at McCormick Vision Source in Austin, where she trained in fitting specialty contact lenses and treating anterior segment disease. Today, her practice encompasses primary eye care, ocular disease, contact lenses, dry eye treatment, and pediatric optometry. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, as well as traveling and exploring new places and cuisines.
