About Scholar
Maulānā Yasir Khan, originally from Pakistan and raised in Paterson, New Jersey, has achieved remarkable milestones from an early age. He served as President of his high school Class of 2013, President of Future Business Leaders of America, and President of the National Honor Society, among many other honors.
Although he had a bright future in secular education—earning a dual Master’s degree by the age of 21 and receiving multiple scholarships from prestigious institutions—he chose a more spiritual path. He committed himself to Islamic Studies, focusing on Arabic, Literature, Hadith, Tafsir, Islamic Theology, and Jurisprudence. He completed his traditional studies at Darus-Salam Seminary in Chicago, studying the six major books of Hadith under respected scholars.
In 2019, Maulānā Yasar joined Jamia Falah-id-Darain/ICC as a teacher and Dean of Student Affairs. His passion and skill in public engagement quickly led to his appointment as Youth Director. He has served the broader community as a member of the Islamic Council of Dayton.
Following two years of service, he traveled to Turkey to specialize in Seerah-an-Nabawiyyah and Islamic History. Upon returning to the U.S., he resumed his mission of education and community service. He is currently enrolled at the Chicago Theology Seminary to deepen his study of Islamic Sciences and is simultaneously pursuing a Master’s in Education. Maulānā is also involved in various literary projects to benefit future generations.
