Hunger Prevention Services

ICNA Relief’s Hunger Prevention Services bring hope to families and individuals facing food insecurity. Through food pantries, hot meal distributions, and emergency food packages, we ensure that no one in our communities goes hungry. Together, we can nourish families, empower neighbors, and build brighter, hunger-free futures across the nation.

Donating Today

Despite being one of the wealthiest nations in the world, millions of Americans still struggle with food insecurity—lacking consistent access to enough food for an active and healthy life. According to Feeding America, an estimated 42 million people, including 13 million children, face hunger in the United States.

Food pantries play a vital role in filling this gap by offering free or low-cost groceries to families during times of financial hardship. Operated by nonprofits, churches, and community groups, these pantries rely on food and monetary donations from the public to sustain their services. They remain a critical lifeline for struggling families across the nation.

Our Mission

Since 2005, ICNA Relief has been pioneering the Hunger Prevention Program, following Allah (swt)’s ordinance to feed those in need. Through our national network of programs, we continue to raise awareness about hunger and provide long-term food assistance to vulnerable families and individuals.

About Hunger Prevention

Our services include:

  • Ramadan Food Boxes
  • Iftar Distribution Program
  • Udhiya / Qurbani Meat Distribution
  • Mercy On Wheels Mobile Services

These programs have been instrumental in supporting single mothers, senior citizens, refugee families, homeless individuals, and many more struggling members of the community.

Our Growth

In the past two years, ICNA Relief has worked with the USDA, Congress, and leading food bank networks to improve access to halal food through the Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). Our ultimate goal is to expand halal protein options nationwide, ensuring that communities can access food that meets their religious and cultural needs.
